Read about EASI on the Colorado Department of Education’s website.

Lit is proud to be Approved with Distinction by the Colorado Department of Education to provide districts with implementation support as part of the Empowering Action for School Improvement (EASI) grant program. Lit is also an approved provider for district strategic planning.

What is the EASI grant program?

EASI allows Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to apply for needs-based funds with a single application. Funds can be used to support needs assessments, improvement efforts (including literacy interventions), implementation of evidence-based approaches, leadership development and coaching; and redesign.

What support can Lit provide?

To support district improvement efforts, Lit can:

  • Conduct a 360° audit of your current approach to reading instruction, identifying strengths to leverage and prioritized next steps to close gaps. (The Lit Quality Review)
  • Help your team understand the science of teaching reading as they redesign systems and structures to support reading implementation at scale. (Learn & Design Modules)
  • Provide ongoing leadership coaching and implementation support, helping leaders use data to drive systemwide improvement. (Implementation Coaching & Support)

What makes Lit different?

  • System-Level Thinking: We believe in creating equitable reading outcomes by building scalable structures and routines for high-quality reading instruction across the district.
  • Coaching, Not Consulting: We work alongside leaders, empowering them to lead improvement. From data analysis to instructional coaching, we’re here to guide, model, and support.
  • Focus on Reading Excellence: Our entire focus is reading. We’ve translated decades of research about reading and reading instruction into our proprietary Reading Ecosystem Alignment Diagnostic (READ). The READ helps us identify what needs to change to drive systemwide reading outcomes.
