At Lit, we believe every kid, everywhere, deserves to be a reader. And we believe every kid, everywhere can be a reader when school systems invest in evidence-based approaches and system-level change.
That’s why we’re proud to have partnered with leaders in 23 states, reaching more than 70,000 students, to transform reading across their systems. Our FY25 Impact Report lifts up what’s possible when districts and networks go beyond quick fixes and build research-aligned reading ecosystems that last.
A few things stand out:
-
System-level change sustains impact. When leaders invest in the system, gains endure long after our formal work ends. For example, Adelante Schools continues to set schoolwide records on Indiana’s IREAD-3 assessment, and DREAM Charter Schools just celebrated a third straight year of outperforming their peers on New York’s reading test.
-
It’s about more than materials. Our partners don’t just adopt High-Quality Instructional Materials; they pair them with coaching, data systems, and collaboration. This combination builds teacher confidence and creates durable change.
-
Scale requires both systems and tools. Lit’s system-level approach helps change take root and spread across schools. Our new digital product, Bloom, will extend that impact even further by bringing research-aligned instruction and real-time feedback directly to students.
The stories and data in this year’s report show stronger student outcomes, more confident leaders, and healthier literacy ecosystems across the country.
