{Case Study} System Transformation at Adelante Schools

December 18, 2024

In 2020, Adelante Schools partnered with Lit to transform reading instruction at Emma Donnan Elementary and Middle School, where only half of third graders were reading at grade level.

The result? The number of Kindergarteners at or above benchmark on DIBELS, a foundational skills screener, increased 8x in a single year, from 10% to 83% (2023-2024). The number of third graders passing the state reading assessment grew by a third, reaching 72% in 2024.

Discover how a research-based literacy ecosystem, targeted coaching, and data-driven instruction fueled this dramatic transformation. Read the full case study.
