Making a difference for students is what Nikki Bridges is all about. She is an award-winning educator, coach, innovator, and the founder of Lit. Nikki received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and earned advanced degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Education and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ultimately Nikki is more interested in the classroom than the conference room — and most interested in giving students a chance to shine.
We’re obsessed with reading. At Lit, our entire focus is on building strong reading ecosystems. We know the ins and outs of ELA curriculum and assessments, pore over the latest research, and draw on years of experience leading system-wide literacy initiatives, coaching literacy teams, and teaching reading.

We work with system leaders to see, design, and transform all the components of a strong reading ecosystem, from curricula and assessments to instructional leadership practices. We believe focusing at the system level creates more sustainable change.

Our work is grounded in Lit’s proprietary Reading Ecosystem Alignment Diagnostic (READ), which translates the science of reading into tangible, research-based practices and actions for system leaders. The READ helps us answer, “What needs to happen next so this system achieves instructional excellence and equity?”
